Hosting a Referee Clinic

 All MSA affiliated members are eligible to host an Entry Level Referee Clinic or Refresher Clinic to be conducted by an accredited MSA instructor.  If you are interested in hosting a clinic, please download the appropriate application form below and submit it to the MSA beginning January 3 of the current year.  Clinic requests must be submitted using these forms and will be filled based on Instructor availability. Please submit requests in a timely manner to ensure efficient administration and coordination of the clinics.

Attending a Referee Clinic

All new referees must fully attend an Entry Level Clinic.

• All potential referees must be 13 years of age or older by April 30, 2012 in order to register and become a certified referee upon completion of the course. The candidate may register by contacting the District organizer for the clinic in their area. 
• Candidate Youth Referees (13 years of age or older) may attend the Entry Level District Youth Referee Clinic. 
• Candidate Adult Referees (18 years or older) or Previously Certified Youth Referees (16 years of age) may attend the Entry Level District Senior Referee Clinic.

To register for a District Senior Referee Clinic please download the application form below and send it to the MSA office with a cheque for $40* payable to “Manitoba Soccer Association”, or pay in person at the office. To register for an Entry Level District Youth Referee Clinic, please see below for the contact information for the District Organizer in your local area.

*Please note, the registration cost for the District Senior Referee Clinic will increase to $45, effective April 1, 2012.

Referee Clinic Dates

Entry Level District Youth Referee Clinic for individuals 13 years of age or older.
Eligible to officiate youth soccer.  Duration:  12 hours divided into 4 modules

Cost $460 per member (district/region) wishing to host the clinic (25 participants / per instructor).
Cost $645 per non member wishing to host a clinic

Entry Level District Senior Referee Clinic

Entry Level District Senior Referee Clinic for individuals 18 years of age or older or Previously Certified Youth Referees (16 years of age) .
Eligible to officiate youth and senior soccer.

Duration:  16 hours - 4 modules of 3 hours & the Assistant Referee Course (4 hrs including a practical session) and a fitness test

Cost $40* per participant

*Please note, the registration cost for the District Senior Referee Clinic will increase to $45, effective April 1, 2012.

NOTE: The MSA will not be hosting a Regional Referee Clinic in 2012. The next scheduled clinic will occur in Spring 2013.
