Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sports
Doping Policy for Provincial, Regional and National Championships:
The World Anti-Doping Agency’s 2011 Prohibited List came into effect January 1, 2011.
To reflect this year’s changes to the List, we have updated our Substance Classification Booklet, an annual publication which lists the status in sport of a sample of Canadian brand-name medications and ingredients.
Flip through the 2011 Substance Classification Booklet online or download it as a PDF at www.cces.ca/en/substance.
New this year! There are no longer substances or methods on the Prohibited List that require a Declaration of Use. For instance, inhaled salbutamol and salmeterol used in the treatment of asthma are not prohibited and no longer require a specific form to notify the CCES of an athlete’s use.
Visit our website for information on the 2011 Prohibited List at www.cces.ca/en/prohibitedlist.
Verify the status of a substance by visiting www.globaldro.com.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the CCES by telephone at 613-521-3340 or toll free at 1-800-672-7775. You can also drop us a line at one of the following email addresses:
· General information – info@cces.ca
· Therapeutic Use Exemption inquiries – tue-aut@cces.ca
